  • Responsibilities
  • The Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) regulates the regulated components of energy prices, for which it issues price decisions every year. According to the law, ERO also stipulates support for renewable energy sources through price decisions. ERO promotes competition in the energy sector. Licenses energy producers, traders and other energy players, which it then supervises. Protects consumers on the energy market. ERO is the one authority to which the consumer can turn when resolving disputes with his energy supplier or distributor.

  • Internal Structure
  • The Board of the Energy Regulatory Office, which has five members, has run the Energy Regulatory Office since 1 August 2017. One of the Board´s members is the chairman of the Board. Members of the Board and its chairman are appointed and dismissed by the government at the proposal of the Minister of Industry and Trade. The session of the Board is in conformity with the Rules of procedure. The Board adopts decisions by voting. Each Board member has one vote. A decision of the Board is adopted if at least three members vote for it.
