Our first 2020 E-learning program has begun
The 4-week practical guide through Electricity Tariff Setting started with a high-level overview of the regulatory roles in price regulation and fundamental economic principles behind regulation by the course director Mr Ardian Berisha, ERRA Regulatory Specialist. An introduction session among the course participants was held in order to better identify their backgrounds and expectations. The course is joined by almost 40 participants from 18 countries.
Tuesday will see a continuation of live sessions by Mr Laszlo Szabo, Director of Regional Centre for Energy Policy Research (REKK), who will speak about wholesale markets and renewable support schemes and will give the first assignment to the participants.
Week 1 of the course will continue with individual work on Wednesday and an online tutoring session on Thursday, while Friday will be the time for the participants to finalize and submit their weekly assignment.
Weeks 2 and 3 will be supported by DNV GL and will focus on building up the Revenue Requirement and the WACC/Efficiency Analysis respectively and will follow a similar breakdown of work. Week 4 on the other hand, will aim at thoroughly analysing the Tariff Structure and Design and will be concluded with the final, multiple choice test.
