
Workshop description
The Workshop is hosted by E-Control, Austria
The purpose of the program is to explain to non-technical participants the physics and engineering fundamentals that go behind providing electricity supply. It will explain step by step what constitutes an electric power system and what are its associated components.
It will shed light on other functionalities and dysfunctionalities such as why blackouts might occur. The program will also cover latest developments in the industry triggered by technological development such as distributed generation, smart grids and smart systems.
