Abdulwahhab Al Hinai has approximately 20 years of legal and regulatory experience mainly specializing in the energy and utilities sectors. He is currently the General Counsel of OQ, the global integrated energy company (state-owned), with previous roles in energy and regulation including serving as Director of Licensing and Legal Affairs in the Authority for Public Services Regulation (Oman), playing key roles in the GCC Electricity Interconnection, liberalization and reform projects, and restructuring of key economic sectors and utilities. His experience also included assisting in the regulatory supervision of energy sector, the recommendation of energy sector policies and the development of new policies and legislations. Abdulwahhab holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from King's College, London and MBA from Strathclyde.
