Jussi Matilainen has more than 25 years of experience at Fingrid. Currently, he is working as Unit Manager for Market Innovations. It develops flexibility markets in Finland. He is also responsible for R&D and innovation activities at Fingrid. In the past, he has worked for asset management, strategic grid planning and electricity market development. He is a member of Research, Development and Innovation Committee in ENTSO-E. He has been chairing several working groups in Nordel (Nordic cooperation association for TSOs before ENTSO-E). He holds Licentiate degree in Electrical Engineering from Aalto University.

Lately, he has been involved into regulatory issues such as development of network code for demand response, Nordic flow-based model, model for independent aggregator and incentive for TSOs to invest on flexibility.
