Ardian BERISHA
Ardian is a regulatory reform specialist with 13+ years of experience in energy sector regulation, specializing in energy policy reform, economic regulation of regulated infrastructure, electricity tariffs and renewable energy support schemes. As a regulatory consultant and a tariff expert Ardian has been assisting regulators conduct tariff reviews, draft and implement Multi-Year Tariff Frameworks which lead to an improved the stability and predictability of the regulatory framework and increased infrastructure investments through private sector participation.
Ardian’s advisory experience includes working with donor organizations, IFIs and private clients in assisting the implementation of various international energy projects in Europe, Middle East, Southern Africa, South-East Asia and Eurasia. He spends part of his time advising the Energy Regulators Regional Association to support strengthening and improving regulatory practice, focusing on issues related to tariffs and economic regulation. Ardian is course director for ERRA’s training courses related to Electricity Tariffs, Capex Review and Assessment Tools and other training courses covering topics related to regulatory reform and electricity pricing. His regulatory consulting experience includes countries such as Mozambique, Zambia, Eswatini, Moldova, Georgia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kosovo, Hungary, Cyprus, Albania, North Macedonia and the Philippines.
Ardian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with Mathematical Emphasis from the University of Wisconsin – Madison (USA) and a Master’s Degree in Economics for Business Analysis and applied Econometrics from Staffordshire University (UK).
