Ymer FEJZULLAHU


Chairman of the Board, Energy Regulatory Office of Republic of Kosovo*

Ymer Fejzullahu was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Energy Regulatory Office of the Republic of Kosovo in August 2021, a position that he currently holds. He joined ERO in 2010 as a Tariff Structure Analyst, a position which he held until 2013. From 2013 he became the Head of the Tariffs and Pricing Department at ERO, a function he exercised until 2021 when he was appointed the position of the Chairman of ERO Board. In addition to his experience in the energy sector regulation, he also has experience in the field of water regulation as from 2007 until 2010 he worked in the Tariff Department of the Water Service Regulatory Authority.

As Chairman, Mr. Fejzullahu is entrusted with overseeing the operations and strategic direction of the Energy Regulatory Office, which plays a vital role in regulating and promoting the energy sector within the Republic of Kosovo. His appointment reflects his recognized expertise and leadership in the field, as well as his commitment to fostering a sustainable and efficient energy landscape in Kosovo. He has played a pivotal role as a key actor in several significant processes within the energy sector, ranging from the unbundling of the electric power system to the pursuit of energy independence for Kosovo.

He holds a M.Sc degree in Economics - Banking, Finance and Accounting. Over the years he has been an active member and panelist of the working groups and events inside the energy sector in Kosovo as well as international working groups and trainings in Energy Community and ERRA. His expertise and knowledge in energy-related matters enable him to make informed decisions and provide effective leadership within the field.
