Balaji M.K. is a strategic energy transition leader with over three decades of executive experience across Asia, Africa, and multilateral institutions, specializing in sustainable infrastructure, climate finance, and large-scale program implementation. He has mobilized more than USD 3 billion for clean energy and sustainability projects, and currently advises the ASEAN Centre for Energy, World Bank, UNESCAP, Japan’s METI, and UNOPS on low-carbon pathways, critical minerals, coal phase-down, and SME decarbonization. A former Specialist Leader at Deloitte and CEO of FE Clean Energy Group, he has led several key energy transition programs, pioneered clean energy investments and built cross-cultural teams delivering tangible transition outcomes in emerging markets. Balaji serves on the Advisory Board of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) and is a regular speaker at regional energy fora, bringing a leader and practitioner’s perspective that bridges policy, finance, and technology for just and equitable energy transitions.
