Barbara Lempp (born 1975) studied law in Marburg, Konstanz and Heidelberg. After starting her career as an insolvency lawyer in a commercial law firm in Mannheim, she moved to Brussels as office manager of MEP Herbert Reul (ITRE committee chairman and chairman of the CDU/CSU group in the European Parliament).

From 2006 to 2013, she worked as Deputy Head of Office in Brussels and Head of Political Communications for RWE Supply & Trading in Berlin. From 2013 to 2023, she was the Managing Director of EFET Germany and since July 2021 she has been Chief Operating Officer of EFET, now Energy Traders Europe. From June 2023 to September 2024, she served as COO at the North Rhine-Westphalian consulting firm Ecotec, which specializes in supporting energy-intensive SMEs into a climate-neutral future. Since 2014, she has also been the organiser of Germany's largest women's energy network, Energie FNE, which currently has 430 members.

Mrs. Lempp is married and has three children.
