Jozef Holjenčík has been leading the Regulatory Office for Network Industries again since December 6, 2023. He already served as chairman of this state regulatory authority from 2007 to 2017, and he considers the office his lifelong passion.

His professional vision is an efficiently functioning state regulator that consistently fulfills its fundamental role: through price regulation, ensuring that Slovak households pay as little as possible for energy, while at the same time respecting the legitimate demands of all market participants.

He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the Slovak University of Technology. Prior to his work at the Regulatory office, he engaged in business activities in the energy sector and also worked as a court expert in the fields of electrical engineering and energy. He was a research worker at FEI STU and an energy auditor.
