Martin Magáth graduated in electric power transmission and distribution from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. He has dedicated a significant part of his professional career to the power sector.

He began his career at ABB, s.r.o., later serving as a Member of the Board of Directors and Head of the Asset Management Division at Stredoslovenská energetika – Distribúcia, a.s., and subsequently as Managing Director of 4EN, s.r.o.

He has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of SEPS since November 2023.
