Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, a. s., is the transmission system operator in Slovakia, ensuring the transmission of electricity via extra-high voltage lines. We are the backbone of the national power system, enabling the flow of electricity from producers to consumers via distribution networks. SPP is the largest energy supplier in Slovakia, guaranteeing reliable, safe, and competitive energy supplies and related services across all regions of Slovakia. FGSZ Földgázszállító Zrt. (FGSZ) is the sole transmission system operator and a 100% subsidiary of MOL. It owns and operates the nearly 6,000 km long high-pressure natural gas transmission pipeline system covering the territory of Hungary, supplying gas distribution companies, power plants and a number of large industrial consumers. FGSZ performs its activities under regulated market conditions and, in compliance with EU rules, has been ITO-certified since 2012.
Following the construction of the first natural gas pipeline in Hungary in 1938, the gas transmission network has developed organically and FGSZ, as a strategically important company in the region, has been transporting gas internationally for some time by now, besides its domestic activities. Since 2021, it has been operating interconnectors with six neighbouring countries: bidirectional points with Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia and Croatia, and an entry point from Austria. In international comparison, the Company’s grid is operated according to the highest technological standards.
In line with decarbonisation efforts, FGSZ places a strong emphasis on sustainability and tasks related to the green transition. Asociácia vodárenských spoločností/Association of Water Companies, Slovakia
The Association of Water Companies, Slovakia, (AVS) was established in 2004 as a professional organisation bringing together business entities engaged in water management activities, particularly in the operation of public water supply and public sewerage systems.
Currently, the association comprises of 15 members, including 14 regular members and 1 extraordinary member, which contribute to the development and efficient functioning of water infrastructure services in Slovakia.
The member companies ensure the supply of drinking water to approximately 95% of the population connected to public water supply networks. They are also a significant employer, with around 8000 people working across various technical, operational, and administrative positions. Together, these companies operate an extensive and complex infrastructure network, including 31 007 km of water supply pipelines and 13 330 km of sewer networks. This infrastructure enables the reliable distribution of drinking water and the effective collection of wastewater across the Slovak region, including 345 wastewater treatment plants.
The main objectives of the Association of Water Companies (AVS) are to ensure a stable legislative environment, promote the long-term sustainability of water infrastructure, strengthen the position of regulated entities, support the development of a qualified workforce and improve the working environment in the water sector.
Východoslovenská distribučná, a.s. (VSD) is an energy company focusing on electricity distribution to the end customers through its own distribution system. It owns its distribution system of almost 23,000 kilometre in Eastern Slovakia and in a part of the Banská Bystrica region. It distributes electricity to over 600,000 supply points. It belongs to the ZSE Group, which makes it a part of the German energy E.ON Group.

Západoslovenská distribučná, a. s. (ZSD) is the biggest distributor of electricity in Slovakia. It manages the operation of a 40,000-kilometre distribution network covering the Bratislava, Trnava and Nitra regions, as well as part of the Trenčín region, to which more than 1.2 million supply points are connected. It belongs to the ZSE Group, which makes it a part of the German energy E.ON Group.
