Onur has been working for the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority since 2016, as an Energy Expert, and is primarily responsible for regulating organized wholesale electricity markets in Türkiye. In addition to his core responsibilities, Onur has hands-on experience in renewable energy certification systems, energy storage regulation, windfall taxation, capacity mechanisms, and, more recently, energy aggregator operations. In 2025, he also serves as an ERRA Secondee, supporting ERRA in strengthening and improving regulatory frameworks. He earned his BSc degree in Electrical Engineering from Yıldız Technical University in Türkiye and his MSc degree in Energy and Climate Policy from the University of Sussex in the UK as an EU scholar.
