Design Features of Support Schemes for Renewable Electricity

The objective of this report is to supplement the European Commission’s guidance document for support schemes and numerous prior research projects by identifying best-practice design features of support schemes for renewable electricity. The analysis focuses on feed-in tariffs (FIT), feed-in premiums (FIP), tenders and quota obligations. Moreover, the report gives selected examples of Member States using these different options.
