Agnes Csermely has diverse professional experience in the energy and the banking sector. Before joining the academic sphere, she worked across regulation and policy development, as well as with the private sector to address energy transition issues.  At the Hungarian Energy Regulatory Authority. she led the team that provided economic and analytical support for regulatory decisions and the market monitoring and surveillance unit. Prior to joining the Regulator, she worked for the Strategic Department of the national oil and gas company MOLGroup. In that role, she conducted energy market modelling, impact assessments and economic analysis in the fields of energy policies, energy infrastructures and regulation.Before she moved to the energy sector, she worked for the Hungarian Central Bank in various positions, from junior analyst to director responsible for macroeconomic forecasting and modelling. She graduated at the Budapest University of Economic Sciences and received a postgraduate diploma in Energy economics.
