Balázs Telek has been working as an analyst at the Gas Supervision and Price Regulation Department of the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH) since 2012.

He received his master’s degrees in Hungarian and Comparative Literature from Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest. He continued his education at Corvinus University, where he graduated in business administration and earned an additional postgraduate diploma in energy management.

At the Hungarian national energy regulatory authority, his work focuses on the regulation of transmission system operators and the EU regulatory framework of the gas sector. He regularly gives lectures on various regulatory topics to both Hungarian and international audiences.
