Gergo currently serves as a Technical Executive at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) in the UAE, where he holds responsibility for providing technical leadership across EPRI's diverse research initiatives throughout the Middle East.

Prior to joining EPRI, Gergo spent nine years successfully leading Siemens Energy's consulting business for the Middle East and Africa region. During this tenure, he managed numerous complex projects focusing on energy system optimization, renewable energy integration, advanced grid planning, and market analysis.

With over 17 years of extensive international experience, predominantly within the consulting sector, Gergo has successfully executed and overseen significant energy projects in Hungary, the United Kingdom, and extensively throughout the Middle East. His portfolio includes strategic advisory roles, comprehensive technical studies, and detailed techno-economic evaluations aimed at supporting energy system sustainability, resilience, and reliability.

Gergo holds both an MSc in Electrical Engineering and an MBA. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD research, focusing on the techno-economic optimization of energy storage technologies specifically targeted at enhancing grid balancing and ancillary service provisions within power systems experiencing high levels of renewable energy penetration.
