Ármin Bőhm is an energy expert holding degrees in bioengineering, international economics, and energy engineering. He previously worked as an energy efficiency expert at the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH), where he played an active role in the development of the Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme (EEOS). In this capacity, he contributed to the creation of the catalogue of standardized energy efficiency measures and the development of monitoring and verification methodologies, ensuring compliance with EU directives.
Currently, he serves as an energy expert at HUMDA Hungarian Mobility Development Agency, focusing on the development of the organization’s energy portfolio. He is also the managing director and co-founder of a consulting company specialised in sustainability and energy-related advisory.
He has extensive international experience, having participated in numerous EU and UN sustainability projects. He actively contributes to the work of the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER), particularly in the development and implementation of energy policies in Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia. In addition, he occasionally collaborates with the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH) under contractual arrangements.
He developed the Terms of Reference for a strategic Azerbaijani software aimed at procuring a developer for an advanced monitoring and verification system to support the implementation of future energy efficiency policies in Azerbaijan.
He is an accredited ESG advisor, currently pursuing a PhD in Energy Market Regulation, and is also included in the European Commission’s TAIEX Expert Database as a recognised specialist in his field.
