For 14 years, Mr. Anders Plejdrup Houmøller has worked as an independent consultant as owner and CEO of Houmoller Consulting ApS.

Mr Houmøller has more than 30 years of experience in the electricity supply industry and seven years of experience from the IT and software industry.

Mr. Houmøller has been teaching and consulting in 46 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, North America and South America.

For 12 years, Mr Houmøller was head of the Nordic electricity exchange Nord Pool’s office in Denmark. In this job, he introduced the electricity exchange in Denmark. Also, Mr Houmøller participated in the establishment of the Danish gas exchange.

Before joining Nord Pool, Mr Houmøller worked for a Danish power producer as Head of the Technology Department. Later he worked for the transmission system operator in Western Denmark.

Wind penetration is a record high in Denmark. In 2023, 59% of the Danish electricity production came from wind turbines (10% came from solar cells). Mr Houmøller uses the Danish experiences when teaching and consulting on how to integrate renewables in a liberalized electricity supply system.

Mr Houmøller holds a Master degree in Physics, a Bachelor degree in Mathematics, a Bachelor degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Commerce.
