Rebecca Bisangwa is an Associate Professional at the International Renewable Energy Agency's (IRENA) Innovation and Technology Center (IITC). As a member of the technology and infrastructure team, she primarily focuses on grid assessment and modeling for low and middle-income countries. Rebecca's technical background in electrical engineering enables her to excel in power systems modeling and grid integration analysis, which is essential to developing advanced solutions for the integration of renewable energy into power systems. Rebecca has extensive experience in the renewable energy sector and has demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills while working on various projects worldwide. Her ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders has enabled her to deliver innovative and effective solutions to complex challenges. Rebecca holds a master’s degree in Energy Studies with a specialization in Energy Economics from the University of Dundee and a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Stellenbosch University.
