Tom George is a financial and policy consultant with extensive experience in advocacy, fundraising, blended finance, and impact investing. Tom serves as Policy Adviser, East Africa for the Africa Minigrid Developers Association (AMDA). Tom supports AMDA members and the AMDA global management team to analyze public policy and regulation, develop and implement advocacy strategies, and engage with key Government officials in East Africa. Tom began his career as an investment officer at an African renewable energy venture capital firm. Tom is the Managing Director of Africa Grant Advisors, Africa’s premier fundraising and financial consultancy. Tom holds a degree in mathematics from the University of Chicago.
