Meri Ghazaryan is currently the Head of Financial, Technical and Complaints Observation Department․ She leads the monitoring of the technical indicators of service quality and financial performance of regulated companies in the electricity, gas and water supply sectors in accordance with current regulations. By using her deep professional knowledge and management skills and based on her practical and scientific experience, in a short period of working (since 2024) in PSRC she has been involved in identifying problems in the energy system including the results of the rapid growth in the use of renewable energy resources (particularly solar power plants and autonomous energy producers) in Armenia, and in the process of searching for regulation mechanisms to ensure the reliability and flexibility of the energy system.

She has Ph.D. degree (Doctor of Power Engineering) and is Аssociate Professor. The field of her professional capacities is broad and includes the directions of traditional (thermal and nuclear), alternative and energy efficient technologies as well as environmental protection in the field of power engineering.

During the resent years (till 2024) she worked in the practical field as a head of energy projects. She also involved in a number of international programs as a national expert in the energy and environmental sector.

In the period form 2002 till 2024 she taught more than 30 subjects in Energy and Environmental field at National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA), in the period from 2013 till 2023 she headed the Thermal Power Engineering and Environmental Protection Chair at NPUA. She has several scientific publications, supervised numerous bachelor's and master's theses.
