Nazim Khiari is a Senior Advisor at the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) supporting the work of National Regulatory Authorities and the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER). He focuses on issues linked to gas systems and European policymaking in light of the energy transition. Nazim also contributes to the development of CEER's international efforts to promote best-in-class energy regulation at the world stage.
Before joining CEER, he held positions in academic think tanks and public affairs organisations dealing with European energy regulation and policy.
He holds a Masters in International Affairs from the Sorbonne University and a Bachelors in Economics from the University of Strasbourg.
