Martin Martinoski is 45 years old experienced professional with background in energy regulation, economics, public policy, international relations, civil society, EU legislation and public relations.
In December 2012 he joined the Energy Regulatory Commission of Macedonia (ERC) on the position Deputy Head of the Economic Department, while in January 2016 he was promoted in the Head of the Energy Markets Monitoring Department where he leads the process of development and implementation of new regulatory instruments based on market monitoring, along with the tailor made software tools for collecting and analyzing various market data.
He is active member of ERRA CP WG, as well one of the key members of ECRB REMIT WG, mainly working and publishing on topics of retail/wholesale market functioning, monitoring, raising customer awareness, public service obligations and other issues. He also provides trainings and workshop facilitation on events organized by associations such as ERRA and NARUC.
Before joining ERC, he served as a Spokesman of the Macedonian Government from May 2009 and was in charge for relations with domestic and foreign media. In 2011/12 he also served as a Secretary of the Government Committee for Innovations and Entrepreneurship. In October 2006 he joined the Cabinet of the Minister of Finance where he served as a Spokesman of the Ministry of Finance and Chief of Staff of the Minister’s Cabinet until his appointment as Spokesman of the Government.
During his professional career he attended/co-organized numerous domestic and international events, as well as gained knowledge on specialized trainings in energy regulation, EU legislations, economic policies, public relations and campaigning, project management, strategic planning, etc.
He holds MBA in Marketing from the University of Sheffield and B.Sc. in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje.
