Marcus Nichol joined Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) in 2011 and is the Executive Director of New Nuclear. In this role, he leads industry’s efforts to improve the policy, regulatory, and business environment for new and advanced reactors.

Marcus has previously worked for Duke Energy, Toshiba America Nuclear Energy and Transnuclear, in the areas of used nuclear fuel management, operations and new plant projects.

Marcus holds degrees in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University and the University of California Berkeley, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina.
