Paul O’Brien works for the British energy regulator Ofgem (Office of Gas and Electricity Markets) in its international unit. He splits his time between advancing Ofgem’s international outreach and working with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office where he tries to share Great Britain’s experiences of trying to mitigate climate change. Prior to working in Ofgem’s international unit he worked in political affairs for Ofgem. In his ten years working in the energy industry he has also worked for the Scottish Government and the energy company SSE.
