Chair of the Board, Public Utilities Commission of Latvia, since July 2021. As a chair of multi-sector regulator, she focuses on dynamic regulation that would foster energy transition towards climate neutrality.
From 2013 until 2021 she was a Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development with primary areas of responsibility being climate policy and sustainability, environmental protection and biodiversity. She has also served as a board member of the state JSC Latvian Environmental Investment Fund. Before that, she was the head of several non-governmental environmental organizations in Latvia, and also worked internationally.
Since November 2022 Alda Ozola is serving as one of five Vice Presidents of the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER).
