Konstantin Petrov is an energy economist and engineer with a major focus in the area of economic regulation, market/industry design and applied modelling. At DNV Energy Systems he is managing consultant in the Market and Regulation Team. He has worked on multiple assignments in more than 40 countries around the world advising governments, regulators and industry in the electricity and gas sector. He has provided policy making advice on several occasions to the European Commission, ACER (Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators), ECS (Energy Community Secretariat), CEER (Council of European Energy Regulators) and ERRA (Energy Regulators Regional Association). Dr Petrov is also a member of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) and has chaired and worked in several groups at CIGRE (Council on Large Electric Systems).
