Mikheil Tavberidze is a Manager at OMNIA and an expert with over 25 years of experience driving transformation in the power sector across Georgia and the Caucasus region.

Mikheil has held roles from technical expert to senior management, playing an active role in shaping and implementing power sector reforms. He specializes in the design and launch of critical market mechanisms, including the Balancing Market and Capacity Markets, and establishing frameworks for both centralized and bilateral electricity trade. As well as integration of Wholesale Public Services into the day-ahead market structure.

His focus areas also include sector planning, system optimisation, regional energy cooperation, and creating the necessary regulatory frameworks for RES integration and efficient cross-border electricity trade.
