Jana Vášová is a senior expert in energy regulation with more than twenty years of professional experience in the energy sector. She currently serves as a Senior Specialist for Renewable Energy Sources at the Energy Regulatory Office in the Czech Republic.

In this role, she is responsible for promoting renewable energy sources and for the development of secondary legislation and regulatory frameworks covering biomass, biogas, biomethane, solar, wind, hydro, and combined heat and power. She actively contributes to the implementation of European energy legislation at the national level and closely cooperates with governmental institutions and international partners.

Her area of expertise focuses on guarantees of origin, sustainability criteria, and greenhouse gas emission reductions, with a growing emphasis on the promotion of biomethane.

Before joining the regulator, she held several senior positions at E.ON Energie, including Head of Sales Support and Area Sales Manager. Her earlier career includes experience in product development, key account management, and energy consultancy, including international work on energy concepts for municipalities.

She holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
