Peerapat is a Principal Consultant at DNV – Energy Systems APAC region, where he leads technical and business advisory projects on electricity markets and energy transition in Asia-Pacific. His experience covers technical, economic, policy and regulatory disciplines with projects in many regions including Australia, China, India, Thailand, Indonesia and ASEAN. Prior to joining DNV, he was a Lead Analyst at the International Energy Agency (IEA) where he led the work on renewable integration and electricity security in many regions. He is experienced in engaging with policy makers and key stakeholders to provide recommendations which have direct relevance for formulating policy, market and regulatory frameworks to support clean energy transition.
His previous roles include a researcher and a private consultant in Austria with projects to support the integration of renewables into the Australian National Electricity Market and regional power market in Southeast Asia. He also worked for Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) in power system operation and planning, PPA and cross-border power trade. Peerapat holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
