Mr. Edin Zametica successfully graduated from the University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Electrical Engineering in November 1987, where he gained his Master of Science Degree in February 1992.
His professional career includes the following positions: Head of the Research Team (Energoinvest – Electric Power Research Institute, Sarajevo), Senior Teaching Assistant (the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Electrical Engineering), Advisor to the Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry and Secretary/Chief of Staff of SERC.
He is proactive in various bodies dealing with a regulatory perspective of the energy sector. Mr. Zametica serves as a speaker and lecturer on general regulatory issues, customer protection, retail market and public relations at different events organized in the framework of the Energy Community, ERRA, CEER, MEDREG, ICER, USAID, NARUC, Florence School of Regulation, etc. He was a Member of the Editorial Board of the ICER Chronicle in the period 2013-2020. Currently, he is Chairman of the ECRB Customers and Retail Markets Working Group.
The topic of promoting transparency and public participation in energy regulation is one of his areas of expertise. Inter alia, he is one of the USAID/NARUC experts in sharing best practices in regulatory communications and public outreach, including activities organized in the framework of the Central Asia Energy Regulatory Partnership in 2021 (providing support to Kyrgyz and Tajik energy stakeholders).
