Dr. Dionysis Spyropoulos, received his Diploma degree and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece. Since 2020 is working as an Electricity Networks and Security of Supply Officer at the Greek Regulatory Authority for Energy, Waste and Water of Greece (RAE). His main duties include electricity network connection and operation codes, transmission and distribution networks regulation, power plants technical operation, resource adequacy and security of electricity supply topics. He is an expert of the CEER having participated in various technical assistance programs (EU4Energy) to neighboring countries of the European Union, and an experienced power system, power electronics and energy researcher, being in the past member of the teaching faculty in the Technological Educational Institution of Western Greece and the University of Peloponnese.

He has authored or co-authored more than 15 scientific papers in academic journals and international conferences.
