
The latest report on Regulation of Electricity Supply Contracts by the ERRA Customer Protection Committee (CP COM) explores how electricity supply contracts are regulated across ERRA Member jurisdictions, highlighting shared approaches and national differences in practice.
Electricity supply contracts are at the core of the relationship between suppliers and customers, making transparent and effective regulation essential for strong consumer protection and well-functioning energy markets.
The report is based on contributions from 12 ERRA Members and covers:
- regulatory frameworks governing electricity supply contracts and the authorities responsible for setting and enforcing the rules
- pre-contractual obligations, contract conclusion, modification, and termination procedures
- the role of National Regulatory Authorities in compliance monitoring, dispute resolution, and customer protection
- contract templates, model terms, sanctions, and enforcement practices
- common consumer complaints, infringement cases, and regulatory challenges encountered by NRAs
- comparative experiences and national approaches across ERRA Member jurisdictions
