The program is tailored to provide an exclusive capacity-building and mentoring platform for senior level regulators, targeting newly appointed commissioners and other regulatory executives.
The program combines foundational regulatory concepts with forward-looking themes, emphasizing the strategic governance role of regulators in enabling energy transition while maintaining system reliability and protecting consumers.
The agenda is divided into the following 4 major blocks:
- Regulatory Independence and Regulators’ Roles; Principles of Economic Regulation
- Market Design, Functioning and Monitoring
- Regulatory Challenges of Decarbonization and Renewable Integration
- Stakeholder Involvement and Strategic Planning
This course adopts an interactive learning methodology rather than a classical lecture format. Instead of lengthy presentations, experts guide participants through real-life stories, case discussions, and shared experiences. Sessions emphasize practical insights, open dialogue, and mentorship, creating a dynamic learning environment rooted in lived practice.
