George Dotsis is an Associate Professor of Finance in the Department of Economics at the University of Athens. He previously worked as a Lecturer/Assistant Professor of Finance at the Essex Business School, University of Essex, UK. He is the Director of the Athens Banking Laboratory (ABL) and the Director of the Master’s Program in Applied Economics and Finance at the University of Athens. His research has been published in international scientific journals such as the Journal of Banking and Finance, Economics Letters, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Futures Markets, and Quantitative Finance. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences, and his work has been featured, among others, in BloombergView and VoxEU. He has many years of experience in training executives and has advised companies on projects related to investment appraisal, capital structure, and portfolio management.
